  A shocking case of dowry harassment and marital fraud has surfaced in the Maholi police station area of Sitapur, where a man was caught while attempting his third marriage despite a dowry harassment case filed by his second wife being pending in court. The accused, Vipin, a resident of Maholi, was first married to Neetu of Hardoi. He later married Anupam from Hirapur Ganj in Sitapur’s Machrehta area. Anupam alleged that soon after the wedding, she was harassed for an additional dowry of ₹4 lakh and subjected to mental and physical abuse. She returned to her parental home within ten days. Hours later, his body was found in a pit in Janakpuri on Friday morning. According to family members, Kamal spoke to his brother Karan around 11:53 pm. When he failed to return and calls went unanswered, the family began searching and approached the police to file a missing complaint.
