National Icons Removed, Quranic Verses Painted: Sambhal Govt School Sparks Major Row
A controversy erupted at a government primary school in Sambhal district after allegations surfaced that images of national leaders and revered figures were removed and Quranic verses painted on school walls. The incident triggered protests by Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal activists, leading to police intervention and suspension of school staff. The incident took place at a government school in Nagla Purva village of Fatehgarh, under Chandausi tehsil. According to reports, VHP and Bajrang Dal activists reached the school around noon on Friday after being informed that religious verses from the Quran had been written on the walls of the school premises.
