Drunk Constable Assaults Wife on Road in Mancherial, Probe Launched


 Mancherial (Telangana): A shocking incident was reported from Reddy Colony in Mancherial district headquarters in the early hours of midnight, where a police constable allegedly assaulted his wife on the road while in an inebriated condition.


The accused, Ravi Prasad, a constable posted at a Mancherial police station, is alleged to have brutally beaten his wife, Shireesha, following suspicion. At the time of the incident, Ravi Prasad was reportedly under the influence of alcohol and was seen in a semi-nude state on the road, causing public outrage.


Shireesha, who works as a superintendent in the Gudipet Battalion, later approached the police station and lodged a formal complaint against her husband. Based on her complaint, the police have registered a case and taken up an investigation into the matter.


The incident has sparked serious concerns, especially as it involves a serving police personnel, with demands for strict departmental and legal action.

Greater Noida – In a shocking incident in Roza Jalalpur under Bisrakh police station, a 22-year-old man brutally killed his wife and six-year-old brother-in-law with a stone before hanging himself on Monday evening. Police identified the accused as Pappu Lal, a resident of Gajraula, Pilibhit. He had been living at his in-laws’ house for the past ten days.
