Bike Demand Turns Fatal: Son Beats Vegetable Vendor Father to Death in Medak

In a shocking incident from Telangana’s Medak district, a man was allegedly beaten to death by his son following a dispute over buying a motorcycle.

The victim, Shakir (51), was a vegetable vendor residing in Regode mandal. Police said his son, Mohammad Hussain, had been pressuring his parents for some time to buy him a bike and sell land to give him money.

About a month ago, Hussain had allegedly assaulted his father over the issue, after which village elders intervened and brokered a compromise. However, tensions reportedly continued within the family.

On Saturday night, the accused allegedly dragged his father out of the house while he was asleep and assaulted him brutally. Shakir sustained severe injuries and died on the spot.

Police reached the scene after receiving information and registered a case based on a complaint filed by the deceased’s wife. An investigation is underway.
