Women Vandalise Country Liquor Shop in Agra Village, Protest Alcohol Nuisance


Agra: Tension prevailed in Birharu village under the Saiyan police station area after a group of women vandalised a government country liquor shop, alleging that alcohol sales were disturbing the village atmosphere.


According to locals, women gathered near the liquor outlet and smashed bottles, destroying a large quantity of liquor. They complained that people consumed alcohol openly outside the shop, creating problems for women living nearby and restricting their movement.


A video of the incident showing women ransacking the shop has gone viral on social media.


On receiving information, the Saiyan police reached the spot and brought the situation under control. Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) Agra also inspected the site. Police officials said law and order is currently normal, evidence is being collected, and further legal action is underway.
