Viral Fall at Birthday Bash: Brij Bhushan Trips on Stage, Video Sparks Meme Storm


Former BJP MP and ex-Wrestling Federation of India president Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh suffered a minor mishap during his 69th birthday celebrations on January 8, 2026, when he lost balance on stage and fell face-first.


The incident occurred at the Rashtra Katha Mahotsav, organised in support of his son Karan Bhushan Singh. A video shows Singh stumbling while crossing a barrier amid a crowded gathering. He quickly got up, smiled, and was assisted by supporters and security personnel. No injuries were reported, and the programme continued.


The 30-second clip went viral on platforms such as X and Instagram, triggering memes and sarcastic reactions. Several Hindi news outlets described the moment as Singh “falling face down and somersaulting”.


The eight-day event, featuring religious leader Riteshwar Maharaj, also drew attention for its lavish celebrations, including gifts such as a Rs 2.5 crore racehorse, a gold chain and a cow. Singh was also seen feeding cake to Muslim children during the event.
