Triple Murder Shock: Son Kills Parents, Sister, Buries Bodies at Home, Then Files ‘Missing’ Complaint
Bengaluru/Kotturu: In a chilling case, the Tilak Nagar police in Bengaluru have taken into custody a 24-year-old man accused of murdering three members of his own family in Kotturu village of Vijayanagara district, Karnataka.
The deceased have been identified as father Bhimraj (50), mother Jayalakshmi (45) and younger sister Amrutha (17). The accused is Akshay Kumar, who was living with his family and running a tyre shop in the village.
According to police, Akshay allegedly murdered his parents and sister on the night of January 26, buried their bodies inside the house, and fled to Bengaluru. After reaching the city, he went to the Tilak Nagar police station and filed a complaint claiming that his family members were missing.
Police officers grew suspicious of Akshay’s behaviour during questioning. During interrogation, he reportedly confessed to killing his father, mother and sister. A case has been registered at the Tilak Nagar police station, and the accused has been arrested.
The Bengaluru police have informed the Vijayanagara district police, and Akshay will be handed over to them for further investigation. A team from the Vijayanagara police has visited the crime scene and conducted an inspection.
Police said investigations are ongoing to ascertain the exact motive behind the triple murder.
