‘Save Me and My Children’: Meerut Influencer Row Turns Ugly as Husband Cries at Police Station
A family dispute involving Meerut-based social media influencer Shadab Jakati and content creator Iram has triggered widespread controversy, following allegations made by Iram’s husband, Khurshid, also known as Sonu. The matter came to light after Khurshid lodged a complaint at Incholi police station, accusing Iram and Jakati of threatening to kill him.
Khurshid alleged that Iram frequently stays away from home for three to four days at a time to collaborate with Jakati, with whom she appears in videos portraying herself as his “on-screen wife.” He claimed that when he objected to this arrangement, both Iram and Jakati threatened him, leading to fears for his life and the safety of their children. The case gained attention after videos surfaced online showing Khurshid crying at the police station and pleading for protection.
In his complaint, Khurshid further claimed that Jakati had recently been embroiled in a separate controversy involving inappropriate videos linked to his minor daughter. He alleged a conspiracy to murder him and said he was under severe mental distress due to the situation.
Responding to the allegations, Iram released a video denying any extramarital relationship with Jakati. She stated that she works with him by choice as a content creator and earns money to support their four children. Iram accused Khurshid of physically assaulting her, claimed that he had given her triple talaq, and said she wanted separation. She dismissed the allegations of threats as false and baseless.
According to reports, the complaint was filed around January 1, 2026. The issue has since sparked intense debate on social media, with some users expressing sympathy for Khurshid, while others defended Iram’s right to work as a content creator. As of early January 2026, there has been no official confirmation of arrests or a resolution by the police.
