Reel Turns Fatal: Slab Crushes 22-Year-Old to Death at Bareilly Flyover

A tragic accident occurred near the under-construction flyover on the road leading to Bijouria railway station in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, where a young man died while making a social media reel.

The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Faizan (22), a resident of Richhola village. He worked as a hair cutter. According to eyewitnesses, several concrete slabs were kept along the roadside near the under-construction flyover. At around 5 pm, Faizan climbed onto these slabs to record a reel when his foot slipped. He fell uncontrollably, and one of the slabs also slipped and fell on his head, killing him on the spot.

Police reached the spot soon after the incident and informed the family. The family declined a postmortem examination and took the body home.

Faizan’s father, Mehndi Hasan, said his son had left home around 5 pm to go for a walk with his friend Anuj. Shortly afterwards, the family received news of his death. Faizan’s brothers—Husne Mustafa, Noor Mustafa, Zeeshan and Uvaish—and his two sisters are inconsolable following the incident.
