Monkey Attacks Child in Varanasi: 6-Year-Old Bitten on Face, Video Sparks Outrage


Monkey menace continues to escalate in Shivpur, Varanasi, with another disturbing incident coming to light. A six-year-old boy was attacked by a monkey, sustaining bite injuries on his face.


The injured child has been identified as Atharva Maurya, a resident of New Ashok Vihar Colony. According to information, Atharva had stepped outside his house to fly a kite. While closing the gate, a monkey suddenly attacked him.


Despite his age, the child showed courage and fought back, forcing the monkey to flee. A video of the incident has gone viral on social media.


The incident has renewed concerns over the rising number of monkey attacks in the Shivpur area. Local residents say children and the elderly remain at constant risk.
