Man Arrested in UP’s Baghpat for Forcibly Feeding Liquor to Stray Dog; Video Goes Viral


Baghpat police have arrested a man after a disturbing video showing a stray dog being forcibly fed liquor went viral on social media. The incident took place in Kirthal village under Ramala police station limits.


The accused, identified as Jitendra alias Ballam, was seen in the viral clip cruelly administering alcohol to a dog from a liquor bottle. The video was taken cognisance of by the Social Media Cell of Baghpat Police, following which Ramala police identified and arrested the accused.


An FIR (No. 5/2026) has been registered at Ramala police station under Section 3/11(1)(c) of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act. Police said necessary legal action is being taken.


Baghpat Police have issued a warning stating that cruelty towards animals will not be tolerated and strict action will be taken against offenders.
