Learner Driver Horror in Jodhpur: Woman Crushed to Death Outside Shop, CCTV Video Goes Viral


A shocking incident has emerged from Jodhpur in Rajasthan, where a woman was run over by a car allegedly being driven by a learner, leading to her death. The incident, captured on CCTV, has triggered outrage after the disturbing footage surfaced on social media.


According to reports, the car occupants were practising driving when the mishap occurred. The vehicle was reportedly being driven by a man or his maternal uncle. The deceased has been identified as Bhanvari Devi.


Police sources said the woman was standing outside a general store when a white-coloured car lost control, first hit a parked motorcycle and then ran over her, crushing her to death on the spot.


In the viral CCTV footage, locals are seen rushing to rescue the victim immediately after the incident. One of the occupants also stepped out of the car following the crash. However, the exact identity of the driver remains unclear.


The incident took place on January 10 at Street Number 6 in Veer Durgadas Colony. Both occupants of the car were reportedly arrested in connection with the case.


So far, the Jodhpur Police have not issued any official statement. Details regarding the sections under which the accused have been booked are yet to be disclosed.
