Khaki, Khadi and a Honey Trap: Bijnor Police Expose Racket Involving Woman, Netas and Serving Cops
A shocking case from Uttar Pradesh’s Bijnor district has severely dented the credibility of the police force, after it emerged that two serving policemen allegedly colluded with political figures and a woman to blackmail a respectable businessman through a honey trap.
Kiratpur police busted a high-profile honey trap gang following a complaint by a petrol pump owner, revealing the involvement of a woman, two local political figures and two constables posted at Kiratpur police station.
Modus Operandi:
According to the FIR, the conspiracy began in early January when the main accused, Fauzia, contacted the petrol pump owner through phone calls and messages. What started as casual conversation gradually turned into a romantic relationship, with the woman allegedly luring the businessman into a false sense of trust.
After gaining his confidence, Fauzia called the victim to Bijnor. The two stayed at a hotel, where they allegedly had physical relations. Unbeknown to the businessman, the woman secretly recorded an objectionable video, which later became the main tool for blackmail.
Khaki–Khadi Nexus:
Days later, the woman allegedly began threatening the victim with dire consequences, including making the video viral and implicating him in a false rape case. The threats escalated with the entry of other accused, exposing a nexus between the police and political figures.
The accused have been identified as:
Fauzia – the main conspirator who honey-trapped the victim
Adil Zaidi – a Kisan Union member who allegedly used political influence
Shahvez – a local councillor, arrested
Constable Lalu – posted at Kiratpur police station
Constable Puneet Tyagi – posted at Kiratpur police station
₹10 Lakh Extortion Using Police Threats:
The victim alleged that constables Lalu and Puneet Tyagi threatened him with arrest and a false rape case if he failed to comply. The gang allegedly demanded ₹10 lakh in the name of settlement, with councillor Shahvez and Adil Zaidi acting as intermediaries and pressuring the businessman.
Mentally distressed and fearing social disgrace and imprisonment, the victim finally approached the Superintendent of Police directly, narrating how he was being blackmailed by a gang that included serving policemen.
Police Action and Arrests:
Taking the matter seriously, the SP assigned the investigation to CO Najibabad Nitish Pratap. The probe, conducted with technical surveillance and witness statements, found the allegations to be correct.
CO Nitish Pratap stated that the woman, both constables and the political figures were found involved in the blackmailing conspiracy. A case was registered at Kiratpur police station under relevant sections.
Police arrested accused councillor Shahvez and sent him to jail. However, four accused — Fauzia, Adil Zaidi, constable Lalu and constable Puneet Tyagi — are currently absconding. Special teams have been formed to arrest them.
Departmental action, including suspension or dismissal of the two policemen, is also expected.
Police have asserted that strict action will be taken and that those committing crimes in uniform will not be spared.
Note:
This report is based on police statements and the registered FIR. Further investigation is underway, and more details may emerge.
