Husband’s ‘Heart Attack’ Was Murder: Wife, Lover Killed Him for ₹2 Crore Insurance
Shocking details have emerged in the Pallati Ramesh murder case that rocked Nizamabad district. What was initially believed to be a heart attack has now been confirmed as a planned murder, police said.
Investigations revealed that Ramesh’s wife, Soumya, along with her boyfriend Dilip, allegedly murdered him to continue their extramarital relationship and claim an insurance amount of nearly ₹2 crore. Police
said Soumya planned the murder to eliminate her husband and gain financially.
According to officials, Ramesh was first given sleeping pills to make him unconscious. He was then strangled to death by the accused, who attempted to pass the killing off as a natural death. Funeral preparations were also made, believing the crime had gone unnoticed.
However, suspicion raised by Ramesh’s younger brother led to a police complaint. A re-postmortem confirmed death due to strangulation, not a heart attack. During interrogation, both Soumya and Dilip confessed to the crime.
Police have arrested both accused and sent them to judicial remand. The case has sparked widespread discussion in the region, highlighting how greed and an extramarital affair led to a brutal murder.
