Honey Trap Racket Busted: Ashram Builder Blackmailed With Rape Case Threat in Mathura


UP | Pradeep Sharma of Bareilly, who is constructing an ashram in Vrindavan, was allegedly targeted in a honey trap. A woman, Seema Kumari, contacted him claiming she wanted to donate for the ashram. The two met at a large hotel in Mathura, where several youths arrived posing as Crime Branch officials. They allegedly blackmailed Pradeep Sharma, demanding ₹50 lakh and threatening to falsely implicate him in a rape case. Police later arrested Seema, and chats linked to a honey trap racket were recovered from her mobile. Investigations suggest the gang includes multiple men and women involved in similar crimes.
