Fare Dispute Turns Brutal: Bus Conductor Thrashes Woman on Road as Child Cries in Shivpuri
A shocking video of a woman being assaulted by a bus conductor during a fare dispute has gone viral from the Karaira police station area of Shivpuri district in Madhya Pradesh.
According to reports, the incident involved a passenger bus of Sheetla Bus Service (registration number MP07 P 2072). The woman was travelling with her young child when an argument broke out with the conductor over the bus fare. The conductor, identified as Mahendra Rawat, a resident of Masoodpur, allegedly lost his temper during the dispute.
Eyewitnesses said the conductor threw the woman’s luggage out of the bus and forcefully pushed her onto the roadside. He then allegedly assaulted her in full public view and twisted her arm. The woman’s young child, visibly terrified, began crying during the incident. In the viral video, the child can be seen raising his hand in distress, as if trying to stop the conductor.
The woman later filed a complaint with the police. Meanwhile, a passerby recorded the incident and uploaded the video on social media, after which the matter drew widespread attention. Acting on the complaint and the viral footage, police have registered a criminal case against the accused conductor and initiated an investigation.
Notably, despite the presence of several passengers on the bus, none intervened or came forward to help the woman during the assault. Police are examining all aspects of the incident and recording statements of those present at the scene.
