‘Dhoom-3 Style’ Twin Brothers Lead Two-Wheeler Theft Gang, 15 Bikes Recovered

Police have busted a gang of vehicle thieves and arrested four accused, including identical twin brothers who allegedly masterminded the crimes by exploiting their striking resemblance to evade identification.

The arrested accused have been identified as Shadab alias Rutba, twin brothers Arman alias Sutta and Ulman, and Vijay. They were arrested on Monday near Sector-14A. Police recovered 15 stolen two-wheelers and a large quantity of vehicle parts, including 12 fuel tanks, five silencers, five masks, four mudguards and two tyre rims. The total value of the recovered property is estimated at around ₹15 lakh.

According to police, the gang’s unique modus operandi involved the identical twins wearing similar clothes and switching roles to mislead investigators. While one brother would remain at a shop, the other would carry out thefts, making it difficult for police and victims to identify the culprit.

During investigation, police found that the gang conducted reconnaissance of two-wheelers parked near colonies, societies, factories and company premises across Delhi, Noida, NCR and nearby areas. The accused would break the locks and steal the vehicles, which were later dismantled at scrap shops and sold as spare parts, or sold cheaply in other states.

Further investigation is underway.
