Dagger on Bengaluru Roads? Rider Threatens Commuters Near Nexus Mall in Broad Daylight
A disturbing road rage incident was reported in Bengaluru on January 16, 2026, around 6.00 pm, opposite Nexus Shantiniketan Mall. A two-wheeler rider, bearing registration number KA53 JB 3274, allegedly brandished a dagger while riding in moving traffic, abused and threatened other road users.
According to the complaint, the rider was cutting off vehicles, performing stunts, violating traffic rules and was not wearing a helmet. The dagger, visibly tucked into the back of his trousers, caused panic among commuters and raised serious concerns over public safety.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police (Whitefield) stated that a case has been registered at Kadugodi Police Station, the accused has been identified, and necessary action will be taken shortly.
