Caretaker Found Murdered in Sonipat Marriage Palace, Wife Accused After Marital Dispute

A 38-year-old man was allegedly murdered by his wife inside a marriage palace in Sonipat, Haryana, police said on Tuesday. The deceased, Ramkishan, worked as a caretaker at Ashirwad Garden, where he lived with his family.

According to the family, Ramkishan’s wife Sarita allegedly smothered him with a pillow and fled the spot. His body was found lying on the bed on Tuesday morning. The couple reportedly had frequent quarrels, allegedly over Sarita’s illicit relationship.

On receiving information around 9 am, ACP Amit reached the spot with a police team, and a forensic unit was called for investigation. CCTV footage from the marriage palace has been seized, and the body has been sent to the civil hospital for post-mortem.

Ramkishan had been living in Sonipat for the past two years and is survived by three minor sons. His brother Mehar Singh alleged that Sarita, along with another man named Satpal, was involved in the murder. Police said both have been named as accused in the FIR.

ACP Amit said the case is being investigated from all angles, and further action will be taken after the post-mortem report.
