Burglary Goes Wrong: Thief Gets Stuck in Exhaust Fan Hole for Hours in Kota

In a bizarre incident in Rajasthan’s Kota city, a burglar attempting to break into a locked house got trapped in an exhaust fan opening and remained stuck there for several hours.

The incident took place in Pratap Nagar when a family had gone out of town to visit Khatu Shyam Ji. Taking advantage of the locked house, two thieves allegedly attempted a burglary late at night. While one managed to escape, the other, identified as Subhash, tried to enter the house through an exhaust fan opening but got badly stuck, with half his body inside and half outside.

The family returned home the next day and found the thief trapped in the window, struggling to free himself. They immediately raised an alarm and informed the police. Locals gathered at the spot before police arrived and rescued the accused after considerable effort.

Police said no theft had taken place as the accused got stuck while preparing for the burglary. The thief was later arrested and questioned. A video of the incident has gone viral on social media. Police also revealed that the accused had come with the intention of stealing a vehicle fitted with a police sticker.
