Boyfriend Locked in Trunk for 45 Minutes: Love Affair Sparks Chaos in Kanpur Home
A dramatic incident unfolded in Kanpur’s Chakeri area on Friday, where a young man was found locked inside a trunk for nearly 45 minutes after visiting his girlfriend’s house in the absence of her family members.
According to police, the girl had called her neighbour, a youth living a few houses away, to her residence in the morning after her mother left for work and her brother went out with a tractor. The young man reached her house on his motorcycle at around 11:30 am.
Shortly thereafter, the girl’s aunt arrived at the house and allegedly heard a male voice coming from one of the rooms. Sensing something suspicious, she knocked on the door repeatedly, but the girl refused to open it. The aunt then locked the main gate from outside and informed the girl’s mother and brother.
When the family returned and searched the house, they did not find anyone initially. However, they soon heard noises coming from a locked trunk kept inside the room. Despite this, the girl denied that anyone was inside and refused to hand over the key.
As the family attempted to break open the trunk, the police were informed. A police team reached the spot around noon and directed the girl to open the trunk. Upon unlocking it, her boyfriend emerged from inside, leaving the family shocked.
Police intervened to prevent enraged family members from assaulting the youth and escorted both the girl and the young man to the police station for questioning.
Chakeri SHO Ajay Prakash Mishra said the youth is a resident of the same locality and that further inquiry into the matter is underway.
