Ujjain Horror: Neighbour Kills 9-Year-Old Girl with 'Mogri', Police Expose Fall Story
KHACHROD, MADHYA PRADESH: In a horrific crime that has shocked the Ujjain district, a nine-year-old girl was brutally murdered by a neighbour following a failed attempt to r@e her. The accused, identified as Riyaz Khan, has been arrested.
The victim had visited her grandmother's house in Khachrod with her two sisters on Sunday (14 Dec 2025). While playing outside, she went missing. Around 5:45 PM, neighbour Riyaz Khan brought the unconscious girl out of his house, claiming she had "fallen from above." The child had severe injuries to her head, face, and eyes and was rushed to a hospital in Ratlam, where she died during treatment on Monday.
Police investigation, however, quickly exposed the lie. Khachrod SDOP Akanksha Bichhote stated that medical examination showed no signs of a fall. Under strict interrogation, Khan confessed to the crime.
He revealed that he found the girl alone and attempted to molest her. When she screamed, he pushed her, rendering her unconscious. Fearing exposure, he then stuffed her into a sack and beat her with a mogri (a wooden washing paddle). Believing her to be dead, he later pretended to find her and presented the injured child to her grandmother.
The police have arrested Riyaz Khan, and a case has been registered.
