Two Seriously Injured in Head-On Collision in Mau’s Madhuban Area


 Two people were seriously injured in a late-night road accident on Saturday in the Madhuban police station area of Mau district. The incident took place at the Katghara Shakar turn, where a Bolero and a Kia car collided head-on, leaving both vehicles heavily damaged.


CCTV footage of the accident has emerged, showing a black car taking a turn when a speeding Bolero coming from the opposite direction rammed into it. After the collision, the Bolero went out of control and crashed into a tree.


The accident occurred around 11:30 pm. The Bolero was travelling from Maryadapur to Dubhari to attend a Tilak ceremony, while the speeding Kia was coming from Mau.


Govind (16), son of Ramjanam and resident of Sonadih Amila, Ghosi, and Yogendra (42), son of Pehlada and resident of Astipura Dakshin Tola, Mau, sustained serious injuries. Locals and family members rushed them to the Community Health Centre in Fatehpur Mandav.


Madhuban police station in-charge Rajiv Singh assisted in admitting the injured to the hospital. After first aid, doctors referred both victims to the district hospital due to their critical condition. Police have seized the damaged vehicles and initiated an investigation.
