Help Turned Trap: Bengaluru Woman Alleges Harassment After Taking ₹30,000 Loan from Friend
The Rajagopalnagar Police have registered a case of sexual harassment against a man for allegedly subjecting a 32-year-old married woman to mental and physical harassment after offering her financial help during a crisis.
According to the complaint, the woman came in contact with the accused, identified as Paritosh Yadav, through social media, and the two later became friends. During this period, the woman’s daughter suffered serious injuries due to a gas cylinder leak at their residence.
For her daughter’s medical treatment, the woman reportedly borrowed ₹30,000 from Yadav. Police said the accused later used the loan as leverage to harass her and allegedly pressured her into a physical relationship.
The matter eventually came to the notice of the woman’s husband, leading to marital discord. Distressed by the situation, the woman allegedly attempted to end her life at a friend’s house in Peenya. However, timely intervention by her friends saved her.
Subsequently, the woman approached the Rajagopalnagar Police Station and lodged a complaint, seeking action against the accused for mental harassment. Based on her complaint, police have registered a case and said an investigation is underway.
