Doctor vs Patient Inside Shimla Hospital: Viral Video Sparks Outrage at IGMC

A video showing a physical altercation between a doctor and a patient inside Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC) in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, has surfaced on social media, triggering outrage and calls for action.

The clip shows the patient lying on a hospital bed and kicking the doctor, while the doctor dodges the blows and punches the patient several times in the face. Others present in the ward are seen intervening to separate the two.

According to reports, the patient has been identified as Arjun Panwar, who had visited IGMC for an endoscopy. After experiencing breathing difficulties, he allegedly went to another ward and lay down on a bed. It is claimed that a doctor later misbehaved with him, leading to a heated argument that soon escalated into a physical fight.

The video went viral, following which the patient’s attendants demanded strict action against the doctor. A police complaint has also been lodged in connection with the incident.

So far, the hospital administration has not issued any official statement. Meanwhile, reports said people gathered outside IGMC as news of the incident spread in Shimla, demanding an inquiry and appropriate action against those responsible.

The viral footage has drawn mixed reactions online, with some users condemning the doctor’s conduct, while others urged restraint until the full facts are known.
