CCTV Shows Scooter Mows Down 4-Year-Old in Hapur, Rider on the Run


Hapur (UP): A four-year-old girl, Pavitra, was seriously injured after being hit by a speeding scooter in Punjabi Colony on Railway Road under the Hapur Nagar Kotwali area on Friday evening. She was playing outside her house when the scooter rammed into her, throwing her several feet into the air and causing severe head injuries. She has been admitted to hospital for treatment.


The rider fled the spot after the accident. The entire incident was captured on a nearby CCTV camera.


The victim’s mother, Saloni Kharbanda, has lodged a complaint at the city police station, demanding strict action. Circle Officer Varun Mishra and City SHO Devendra Bisht said a case will be registered, an investigation has begun, and efforts are on to identify and arrest the absconding rider.

A complaint filed at Raipur’s Khamhardih police station has triggered major unrest within the Chhattisgarh police department.
