13 Killed in Early Morning Bus–Tanker Collision in Chitradurga


Chitradurga (Karnataka), 25 Dec 2025: At least 13 people were burnt alive in a horrific road accident near Gorlattu village in Chitradurga district on Thursday morning. A Seabird Private Travels bus, en route from Bengaluru to Gokarna, collided with a lorry and a diesel tanker, triggering a massive fire.


The bus was carrying around 32 passengers at the time of the crash. Several passengers were trapped as flames engulfed the vehicle. Officials said 13 deaths have been confirmed so far, and the toll is feared to rise.


Rescue and relief operations are underway, and police have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident.
