Two-Storey House Crumbles Like a Pack of Cards — Negligence or Fate?

A major incident was reported from Shahpur area of Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, where a two-storey house suddenly collapsed near the Guddaya (Godhiya) drain on Friday, sparking panic among locals. A LIVE video of the collapse is now going viral across social media platforms.

According to sources, no casualties have been reported so far. Police and local administration teams immediately reached the spot and began rescue and debris removal operations. An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the collapse.

Locals recalled that about 10 days ago, cracks had appeared in three nearby houses during excavation work. Residents had vacated their homes as a precaution, which likely prevented a major tragedy. The incident has now raised serious questions about administrative negligence, with fingers being pointed at the revenue officer allegedly responsible for the excavation work.

For many residents, watching their home crumble was heartbreaking. “How many dreams and years of hard work went into building that house — and in just seconds, it turned to dust,” said one local with moist eyes.
