Noida Dismemberment Case: Married Lover Arrested for Brutal Murder Inside Bus
Noida Police have cracked the sensational murder of Preeti, whose severed head and arms were found in a drain in Sector 108 on 6 November. Sector 39 police arrested the accused, 34-year-old bus driver Monu Solanki, who allegedly killed Preeti inside a bus after being “fed up with her blackmailing”.
DCP Yamuna Prasad said the toe rings on the recovered body parts indicated that the woman was married. CCTV footage later showed a bus with its lights off passing the spot on 5 November at 8:43 pm. The number was traced to a religious organisation and was being driven by Monu.
When police reached his home, Monu was missing. His five children and wife were present — and two of the children identified the toe rings as their mother Preeti’s. The accused was arrested near his house on Friday.
During interrogation, Monu confessed that he killed Preeti inside the bus after an argument. Based on his inputs, police recovered the woman’s neck, hands, weapon, clothes, bus mat, and the bus from a drain area near Siddharth Vihar, Ghaziabad. He was sent to judicial custody.
Police said Monu washed the bus four times but could not remove the bloodstains. Forensic tests confirmed they were human blood. He had also instructed the children to say their mother had been missing since 6 November.
Officials said Monu and Preeti, both residents of Baraula, became close after working at the same jeans factory. Over 1,100 vehicles were checked and 44 owners questioned during the probe. The accused claimed Preeti had been married twice and often blackmailed him, even threatening to drag his daughters into “immoral activities”.
On the evening of 5 November, Monu picked up Preeti, bought food, dropped her children home, and later murdered her inside the bus.
