20-kg Ice Block Falls From the Sky in Badaun — Workers Narrowly Escape Disaster!

Badaun: Panic spread in Bilsi Nagar on Sunday morning after a block of ice weighing nearly 20 kilograms suddenly fell from the sky onto a brick kiln, narrowly missing workers. The incident occurred around 9 a.m., triggering chaos as labourers ran for safety and residents rushed to the spot.

Despite the size and force of the falling ice, all workers escaped unharmed. Police and administrative officials reached the location soon after receiving information.

Local resident Somendra Yadav said the ice block landed with a loud impact while children were working at the kiln. “Fortunately, no one was injured. Everyone survived. I was present there when it happened,” he said.

Brick kiln worker Veer Singh also described the close call, stating that his daughter, who was working below, narrowly escaped being hit.

Crime Inspector B.K. Maurya visited the Baba Brick Kiln in Mohalla No. 8 and collected details from locals. Holding a piece of the ice, he told villagers that it appeared to be a “gift from nature.”

Bilsi SDM Prempal Singh confirmed that information had been received about a block of ice falling near workers at the kiln located near Deen Nagar–Sheikhpur intersection. Police teams have been deployed, and an investigation is underway to determine the cause.
