Sitapur, UP — A bizarre and tragic incident unfolded at the Pisawa police station in Qutubnagar when Pooja Mishra, a married woman, slit her wrist in frustration after her nephew, Alok Mishra, refused to continue their illicit relationship. She was immediately rushed to a local hospital and later referred to Lucknow in critical condition.
Pooja, originally from Harish Bihar, Delhi, is married to Lalit Kumar Mishra of Ghaziabad, with whom she has two children, Vansh (7) and Ansh (6). The relationship reportedly began while Alok was helping Lalit with work, despite being 15 years younger than Pooja. When Lalit discovered the affair, he sent Alok away.
Pooja then left her family behind, moving to Bareilly with Alok, where they lived together for about seven months. Alok, who drove an auto for a living in Bareilly, later decided to return to his native village, Madhiya, after disagreements arose.
On learning that Alok wished to end the relationship, Pooja traveled to Sitapur and went to the police station to resolve the matter. When Alok refused to continue the relationship, Pooja, in desperation, cut her wrist in front of police personnel, creating panic at the station.
The incident underscores the tragic and complex dynamics of a relationship crossing familial boundaries, leaving authorities and locals shocked. Pooja is currently under treatment in Lucknow.
