UP Kaushambi: Dalit Woman Files False Gangrape Case, 4 Arrested Including Panchayat Member

Kaushambi, UP — The Saini police uncovered a shocking conspiracy in which a woman and her associates planned to falsely accuse four men of gang rape to settle a land dispute and gain financial benefits.

The case, filed on September 27, 2025, claimed that the men had assaulted her on the night of September 26. However, technical evidence, including mobile location data, CCTV footage, medical reports, and eyewitness accounts, proved that the accused were elsewhere during the alleged crime.

During interrogation, the woman, Saroj, along with Mohammad Hasan, Sher Mohammad alias Sherry, Arjun, and Gunna, admitted to fabricating the allegation. Police arrested all four and sent them to court under sections 248/83/231/217/61(2) IPC for conspiring to frame innocent people.

Superintendent of Police Rajesh Kumar emphasized that the police remain committed to women’s safety while taking strict action against those who misuse the law.
