Third Cop Suicide in 11 Days: Haryana ASI Ends Life, Blames Wife and In-Laws in 12-Page Note
Rewari, Haryana — In a deeply distressing incident, Haryana Police ASI Krishna Yadav (40) was found dead on Friday morning after allegedly hanging himself in his room at his native village, Jainabad. He was posted in Gurugram and had returned home on leave.
Police recovered a 12-page suicide note from the spot, in which Krishna Yadav blamed his wife, Indu, and his in-laws for mental harassment. The note mentioned that his wife repeatedly filed police complaints against him, driving him to take the extreme step.
Krishna Yadav, a father of two children, had been serving in the Haryana Police since December 2004, initially posted in Narnaul. His wife, Indu, works as a PGT teacher in Delhi and has been living there for the past two years. The couple’s children have been staying with their grandparents in Manethi village.
According to the family, Krishna was a responsible and dedicated officer but had been under severe emotional stress due to ongoing domestic disputes. His father, Nardev Yadav, filed a complaint leading to the registration of an FIR against his wife and in-laws at the Khol police station.
Dahina outpost in-charge Rajneesh Kumar confirmed the recovery of the suicide note and said, “An FIR has been registered against the wife and three others based on the family’s complaint. Further investigation is underway.”
Police and forensic teams recovered a diary, pen, and pencil from his room, and a note was found in his shirt pocket. According to officials, Krishna hanged himself using a dupatta from the window frame, and the room door latch had been removed.
The incident marks the third suicide of a Haryana police officer within 11 days.
