Raipur Scandal: Storyteller Bhaskaracharya Caught With Married Woman in Car, Beaten by Mob
Raipur, Chhattisgarh – A shocking scandal from the capital city has taken social media by storm after a video surfaced showing renowned storyteller Bhaskaracharya being thrashed by locals for allegedly being caught in a compromising position with a married woman inside a car.
According to reports, Bhaskaracharya, a well-known kathavachak from Rewa, Madhya Pradesh, had travelled to Raipur to meet his alleged lover — the wife of a local resident, Anil Gupta. The woman, reportedly a mother of an 18-year-old son, was found with the storyteller inside a parked car when her husband, who had been suspicious for some time, caught them red-handed.
Eyewitnesses say that an enraged Gupta and several bystanders dragged Bhaskaracharya out of the car and beat him brutally. The viral footage shows the storyteller being assaulted, with unconfirmed reports claiming that he sustained severe injuries during the attack.
Following the incident, the woman’s husband lodged a complaint at the local police station and submitted a written statement declaring that his wife could live with Bhaskaracharya if she chose to do so. Meanwhile, police have launched an investigation into the assault and the circulation of the video on social media.
The case has become a major topic of debate across Chhattisgarh, with the viral video sparking discussions about morality, infidelity, and public violence.
