Love Affair Turns Fatal: Woman & Her Lover Arrested for Beating Man to Death in Kaithal
A shocking case of murder linked to an illicit relationship has been solved in Kaithal, Haryana, after police arrested two accused — Anjali, a resident of Purnia (Bihar), and her lover Krishna Kumar, also from Purnia.
The arrests were made near Khurana Road drain bridge on the evening of October 11, following a joint investigation by SI Rajkumar (City Police Station) and SI Jaswant (CIA-1 In-charge).
According to police, Deepak, the deceased, was beaten to death by Anjali and Krishna over a love affair dispute. During questioning, both accused confessed to attacking Deepak on October 6, locking him in a room, and fleeing. Deepak succumbed to his injuries later.
Shockingly, Krishna was Deepak’s cousin (maternal uncle’s son).
As per the FIR filed by Gurnam Singh of Dera Gadla Patti, Afghan (Kaithal), the deceased Deepak, his wife Anjali, their 5-year-old son, and Krishna had been living together in a room in his cattle shed for the past two months. On the night of October 6, a heated argument broke out between the three. Anjali and Krishna kicked and punched Deepak, leaving him grievously injured before fleeing the spot.
Deepak was treated briefly but died two days later, on October 8, after being found motionless on a chair outside his room.
Both accused have now been sent to judicial custody following a court order.
