Kanpur Horror: Mother, Brother & Sister-in-Law Kill Youth Over Inter-Caste Marriage, Dump Half-Burnt Body in Sack

Kanpur, UP – A brutal murder has shaken Chakeri after police uncovered that a 25-year-old truck driver, Manas Pal, was strangled to death by his own mother, elder brother, and sister-in-law over an inter-caste marriage dispute.

On September 22, villagers in Mathurapur discovered a half-burnt body tied in a sack. Police launched a probe, later identifying the body as Manas, based on viral photos and confirmation by his father, Ramchandra Pal, who returned from Mumbai to identify his son.

Investigations revealed that Manas was killed inside his own home in Sandipnagar, Sanigwan. His brother Pranjal Pal, who had married inter-caste four months ago, often clashed with Manas, who taunted him over the marriage.

On the night of the murder, Manas returned home intoxicated. His mother Manju Devi first strangled him, followed by Pranjal to ensure his death. His sister-in-law Kiran also assisted. The trio then attempted to burn the body inside the house, but abandoned it due to the rising smoke and stench. They later stuffed the body into a sack, loaded it onto an auto, and dumped it outside the village.

CCTV footage captured the mother and son carrying the sack. During interrogation, Manju Devi admitted she hated Manas for his drug addiction and favored her elder son Pranjal.

Police arrested all three – Manju Devi, Pranjal, and Kiran – and presented them in court. They now face charges of murder and destruction of evidence.

The gruesome revelation has stunned locals, many questioning how a mother could strangle her own son without hesitation.
