Groom’s Final Words: ‘Only Charu Will Be Responsible for My Death’ — Moradabad Youth Ends Life After Fiancée Elopes


Moradabad: A shocking case of alleged betrayal in love has shaken the Civil Lines area of Moradabad, where 23-year-old Aniket, a resident of Adarsh Colony, ended his life by consuming poison after his fiancée, Charu, allegedly eloped with her lover.


Aniket’s family found him dead at home, and initially performed the last rites without informing the police. Days later, while checking his phone, the family discovered an 18-second suicide video, in which Aniket can be heard saying, “Only Charu will be responsible for my death… I cannot live anymore.”


Following the discovery, the family lodged a formal complaint at the Civil Lines police station, demanding strict action against the woman. Police have registered the case and begun an investigation.


According to reports, Aniket was preparing for a government job and had become emotionally disturbed after his fiancée left with her lover. His mother also alleged that the woman took away jewellery and items given during their engagement.


The incident has sparked debate in the city over rising cases of youth suicides linked to relationship distress and the failure of families to identify emotional warning signs in time.
