Fake ‘Premanand Maharaj Token’ Scam: Woman Drugged, Raped & Blackmailed in Vrindavan Hotel

A shocking case has emerged from Vrindavan, where a young woman from Agra was allegedly raped under the guise of getting a “private meeting token” for spiritual leader Premanand Maharaj.

The accused, identified as Sundaram Rajput, a caretaker at Hotel Radha-Krishna Dham, reportedly contacted the victim via Instagram on August 21, claiming to arrange meeting tokens for devotees. On September 12, he called her to Vrindavan and took her to the hotel on the pretext of finalizing the meeting.

There, he allegedly offered her coffee laced with drugs, raped her after she lost consciousness, and recorded an obscene video. He later blackmailed her using the footage.

Distressed, the woman lodged a complaint at Vrindavan Police Station on October 9. The accused was arrested on October 11 and sent to jail. Police have booked him under sections of rape, blackmail, and the IT Act, and have warned devotees against such fraudulent “token” agents exploiting faith for crime.
