Sialkot Harasser's Gun 'Accidentally' Misfires, Inflicts Permanent Injury During Raid

 


SIALKOT: A man, wanted for allegedly harassing a woman, sustained a severe and permanently damaging injury after his pistol accidentally discharged and struck him in his private parts during a police raid on Thursday.


The accused, identified as Muhammad Irfan, was wanted by the Counter Crime Department (CCD) after a video of him engaging in inappropriate conduct towards a woman went viral on social media. The incident occurred as the woman was entering her residence.


According to an official statement from the CCD, a police team conducted a raid to arrest the suspect. Upon their arrival, Irfan allegedly pulled out a pistol intending to fire at the officers. However, in a panicked state, the weapon accidentally discharged, and the bullet hit the suspect himself, causing critical injuries to his private parts.


Officials confirmed that the self-inflicted wound has resulted in permanent damage. The injured suspect was immediately shifted to a hospital for treatment. Legal proceedings in the case are currently underway.
