Lucknow Campus Shock: Law Student Slapped 20 Times in 90 Seconds, Video Sparks Outrage

 


Lucknow (U.P.): A disturbing case of ragging-style assault has surfaced at a private university, where a law student was allegedly slapped over 20 times by two classmates inside a car parked on campus.


The viral video shows the victim forced to sit silently while a boy and a girl repeatedly strike him, warning him not to shield his face or face “more beating.” The incident lasted roughly 90 seconds and has reportedly left the student traumatised and skipping classes.


In the footage, one assailant can be heard saying, “Would you dare speak about the character of Jahnavi and Saumya?” The motive for the attack remains unclear.


University officials and police are expected to verify the video and investigate. The clip’s rapid spread online has triggered public anger and calls for strict action against the perpetrators.

Two Agniveer Soldiers Killed in Nashik Artillery Training Explosion, One Injured

  In a tragic incident at the Nashik Artillery Centre in Maharashtra, two Agniveer soldiers lost their lives when a shell exploded during a training exercise. The explosion, which occurred around noon on Thursday at the Shingwe Bahula firing range, happened while loading an artillery shell.  The deceased soldiers have been identified as Gohil Vishwaraj Singh (20) and Saifat Shit (21). Both were rushed to MH Hospital, Deolali, but were pronounced dead due to severe injuries caused by shell fragments. A third soldier is currently receiving treatment at an army hospital.  The jawans were recruits under the Army’s Agniveer scheme, and investigations are underway by both the police and the army to determine the cause of the explosion. A case has been registered at the Deolali Camp Police Station.
