Love Affair Turns Deadly: Wife and Lover Kill Husband, Stage Road Accident in UP’s Maharajganj


Maharajganj (UP) – A shocking murder case has surfaced in Rajabari village under Kotwali Thuthibari police station area. A woman, along with her lover, strangled her husband to death and tried to pass it off as a road accident.


According to police, 26-year-old Nageshwar Rauniyar, son of Keshav Raj Rauniyar, had left home on his bike around 4 pm on Friday but did not return. The next day, his body was found on the roadside near Damki village on the Nichlaul–Sinduria road.


The post-mortem report confirmed death due to strangulation, exposing the murder plot.


Affair Behind the Killing


Investigations revealed that Nageshwar’s wife Neha Rauniyar was in an illicit relationship with villager Jitendra. As Nageshwar opposed the affair, the duo conspired to eliminate him.


Police said Jitendra invited Nageshwar to his rented room, gave him alcohol, and tied his hands and feet when he was intoxicated. With Neha’s help, he strangled Nageshwar. Later, they transported the body nearly 25 km on a bike and dumped it by the roadside to make it appear like an accident.


Arrests Made


Superintendent of Police confirmed at a press conference that the case has been solved. Both Neha and Jitendra have been arrested and sent to jail. Police stated the murder was carried out solely due to opposition to their love affair.

Two Agniveer Soldiers Killed in Nashik Artillery Training Explosion, One Injured

  In a tragic incident at the Nashik Artillery Centre in Maharashtra, two Agniveer soldiers lost their lives when a shell exploded during a training exercise. The explosion, which occurred around noon on Thursday at the Shingwe Bahula firing range, happened while loading an artillery shell.  The deceased soldiers have been identified as Gohil Vishwaraj Singh (20) and Saifat Shit (21). Both were rushed to MH Hospital, Deolali, but were pronounced dead due to severe injuries caused by shell fragments. A third soldier is currently receiving treatment at an army hospital.  The jawans were recruits under the Army’s Agniveer scheme, and investigations are underway by both the police and the army to determine the cause of the explosion. A case has been registered at the Deolali Camp Police Station.
