Jhansi Shocker: 13 Masked Goons Storm Hospital, Attack Doctor and Staff After Patient’s Discharge

Jhansi (Uttar Pradesh) – A violent attack took place at Sanjeevani Hospital, where 13 masked men stormed the premises and brutally assaulted a doctor and staff. The entire incident, including slaps and punches on the doctor, has been captured on CCTV and has since gone viral.

According to police, the attack occurred around 3:30 pm on Monday after a patient, Kamlesh Devi, was discharged a day earlier. Her son, Shivdeep, along with friends carrying hockey sticks and batons, entered the hospital and began vandalising property. They then barged into the chamber of Dr. Mandeep Madia and attacked him with sharp weapons and bottles. During the assault, a staff member sustained a hand injury, while two women employees, Renu and Ramvati, were also hurt.

Dr. Mandeep, a resident of Ganesh Enclave, said the masked assailants came prepared, knowing CCTV cameras were installed, and deliberately covered their faces. Panic gripped the hospital as patients and staff ran for safety.

On Dr. Mandeep’s complaint, police have registered a case at Navabad police station against named accused – Shivdeep, Hrithik, Deepak, Mayank, Jayant – along with eight unidentified attackers, on charges of vandalism and murderous assault. Inspector Santosh Awasthi said identification of the attackers is underway using CCTV footage, and a search has been launched.

The brazen attack has raised questions on hospital security and safety of doctors, as Dr. Mandeep remarked, “How can I treat patients when I am not safe myself?”
