A shocking case from Indore has surfaced online, where a wife’s dowry list submitted in court has gone viral for its unusual details.


The handwritten list includes not only gold, silver, clothes, and jewellery but also everyday items such as Medimix soap, toothpaste, powder, facewash, aloe vera gel, and face packs.


The bride alleged that these items too were part of the dowry taken to her husband’s house. The case has sparked outrage,


Netizens question (sarcastic): How can any husband be so cruel to demand even basic household goods in the name of dowry?

A 26-year-old soldier from Prayagraj has been arrested for murdering his minor girlfriend after she insisted that he marry her. Police said the accused, identified as Harshvardhan Singh alias Deepak, strangled and stabbed the girl before burying her body in an orchard in Lakhranwa village. The victim, an intermediate student, had known the accused since June 2025 through Instagram. Harshvardhan, a Naik posted in Patiala, is a resident of Kusumgur village in Tharwai. His marriage was scheduled for 30 November, which the girl opposed. She reportedly threatened to approach the police, angering the soldier, who decided to “remove her from his way”. Greater Noida – In a shocking incident in Roza Jalalpur under Bisrakh police station, a 22-year-old man brutally killed his wife and six-year-old brother-in-law with a stone before hanging himself on Monday evening. Police identified the accused as Pappu Lal, a resident of Gajraula, Pilibhit. He had been living at his in-laws’ house for the past ten days. On the day of the incident, his father-in-law and mother-in-law were at work, while Pappu, his wife Jaswanti (21), and her younger brother Tej Prakash (6) were at home.
