Etah Shocker: Man Plots Wife’s Death for Love Affair & Insurance


Etah, Uttar Pradesh — In a chilling case, a husband allegedly murdered his wife to clear the path for his love affair and claim her insurance money.


On September 22, the body of Akanksha, wife of Pankaj from Chitauni village, was found on the service road of the highway bypass. While her family initially claimed it was an accident, her brother suspected murder.


Police investigation based on Akanksha’s mobile call records revealed the conspiracy. Pankaj, with his friend Dilip Kumar of Nagla Shishia, planned the crime. Dilip lured Akanksha to the spot, then ran her over with a loader. After the killing, the duo casually went to eat at a restaurant before hiding the vehicle.


Both accused were arrested on Saturday near Narhara village, and the loader was recovered. During interrogation, Pankaj confessed that his wife was an “obstacle” in his affair and that they intended to claim her insurance policy taken just six months ago.


CO Sadar Sanjay Kumar Singh confirmed both men are in custody and further action is underway.

Two Agniveer Soldiers Killed in Nashik Artillery Training Explosion, One Injured

  In a tragic incident at the Nashik Artillery Centre in Maharashtra, two Agniveer soldiers lost their lives when a shell exploded during a training exercise. The explosion, which occurred around noon on Thursday at the Shingwe Bahula firing range, happened while loading an artillery shell.  The deceased soldiers have been identified as Gohil Vishwaraj Singh (20) and Saifat Shit (21). Both were rushed to MH Hospital, Deolali, but were pronounced dead due to severe injuries caused by shell fragments. A third soldier is currently receiving treatment at an army hospital.  The jawans were recruits under the Army’s Agniveer scheme, and investigations are underway by both the police and the army to determine the cause of the explosion. A case has been registered at the Deolali Camp Police Station.
