Churu Youth Rides Bike Into Hospital Ward, Saves Elderly Train Passenger
Churu – In a remarkable act of humanity, a 28-year-old man rushed a critically ill passenger straight into the emergency ward of DB Hospital on his motorbike, saving the elderly man’s life.
The patient, 65-year-old Bhalleram of Fatehabad, Haryana, was travelling with his family from Bikaner to Delhi after visiting Baba Ramdev when he suddenly collapsed inside the train near Churu. A diabetic, his blood sugar levels had dropped, leaving him unconscious and unresponsive.
Panicked, his son Ran Singh pulled the chain to stop the train. At that moment, Shubham Devda, who had come to drop his friend at the station, noticed the commotion. Without hesitation, he seated Bhalleram on his bike and drove directly into the hospital’s emergency ward—much like a scene from the film Three Idiots.
Doctors and nurses quickly shifted the patient to a bed and began treatment. Tests confirmed a severe drop in blood sugar as the cause of his collapse. Thanks to the swift response, Bhalleram’s condition stabilized.
Medical College Principal Dr. MM Pukar praised Shubham’s selfless act, calling it “an inspiring example of humanity.” He appealed to the public to extend similar help in emergencies, stressing that timely assistance can save lives.
