Meerut Police have arrested AIMIM councillors Fazal Karim, Anees, Shahid & Qasim for allegedly burning the poster of the film “Udaipur Files.”

The action follows an FIR lodged by Hindu leader Sachin Sirohi.

A 26-year-old soldier from Prayagraj has been arrested for murdering his minor girlfriend after she insisted that he marry her. Police said the accused, identified as Harshvardhan Singh alias Deepak, strangled and stabbed the girl before burying her body in an orchard in Lakhranwa village. The victim, an intermediate student, had known the accused since June 2025 through Instagram. Harshvardhan, a Naik posted in Patiala, is a resident of Kusumgur village in Tharwai. His marriage was scheduled for 30 November, which the girl opposed. She reportedly threatened to approach the police, angering the soldier, who decided to “remove her from his way”. According to police, on 10 November, Harshvardhan called the girl to meet him. He picked her up near Balan intersection and spent the day with her near Company Garden. Greater Noida – In a shocking incident in Roza Jalalpur under Bisrakh police station, a 22-year-old man brutally killed his wife and six-year-old brother-in-law with a stone before hanging himself on Monday evening. Police identified the accused as Pappu Lal, a resident of Gajraula, Pilibhit. He had been living at his in-laws’ house for the past ten days. On the day of the incident, his father-in-law and mother-in-law were at work, while Pappu, his wife Jaswanti (21), and her younger brother Tej Prakash (6) were at home. Around 4:30 p.m., after an argument, Pappu attacked Jaswanti with a stone, killing her on the spot. When Tej Prakash witnessed the assault and raised an alarm, he too was fatally attacked.
