Gorakhpur: Couple fined ₹2500 for flouting traffic rules



A video from Gorakhpur’s Nauka Vihar Road (Ramgarhtal PS area) has gone viral, showing a young woman sitting in reverse on a bike’s fuel tank while holding her partner as they rode through the city.


The stunt-like act drew heavy criticism online for being unsafe and against traffic norms. After the clip surfaced on social media, Gorakhpur Police traced the duo and issued a fine of ₹2500 for violating traffic rules.


Authorities have also appealed to citizens to prioritize road safety over show-off stunts.
