Two Agniveer Soldiers Killed in Nashik Artillery Training Explosion, One Injured
In a tragic incident at the Nashik Artillery Centre in Maharashtra, two Agniveer soldiers lost their lives when a shell exploded during a training exercise. The explosion, which occurred around noon on Thursday at the Shingwe Bahula firing range, happened while loading an artillery shell.
The deceased soldiers have been identified as Gohil Vishwaraj Singh (20) and Saifat Shit (21). Both were rushed to MH Hospital, Deolali, but were pronounced dead due to severe injuries caused by shell fragments. A third soldier is currently receiving treatment at an army hospital.
The jawans were recruits under the Army’s Agniveer scheme, and investigations are underway by both the police and the army to determine the cause of the explosion. A case has been registered at the Deolali Camp Police Station.
