Swiggy Delivery Agent Killed in Pune Hit-and-Run; Audi Driver Arrested After Fleeing the Scene

A tragic hit-and-run in Pune claimed the life of Swiggy delivery agent Rauf Akbar Sheikh late Thursday night. An Audi, driven by Ayush Pradeep Tayal, hit two motorcycles within minutes, causing Sheikh fatal injuries. The driver fled but was later detained through CCTV footage. The Audi has been seized, and Tayal is in custody, pending medical examination.

A 26-year-old soldier from Prayagraj has been arrested for murdering his minor girlfriend after she insisted that he marry her. Police said the accused, identified as Harshvardhan Singh alias Deepak, strangled and stabbed the girl before burying her body in an orchard in Lakhranwa village. The victim, an intermediate student, had known the accused since June 2025 through Instagram. Harshvardhan, a Naik posted in Patiala, is a resident of Kusumgur village in Tharwai. His marriage was scheduled for 30 November, which the girl opposed. She reportedly threatened to approach the police, angering the soldier, who decided to “remove her from his way”. Greater Noida – In a shocking incident in Roza Jalalpur under Bisrakh police station, a 22-year-old man brutally killed his wife and six-year-old brother-in-law with a stone before hanging himself on Monday evening. Police identified the accused as Pappu Lal, a resident of Gajraula, Pilibhit. He had been living at his in-laws’ house for the past ten days. On the day of the incident, his father-in-law and mother-in-law were at work, while Pappu, his wife Jaswanti (21), and her younger brother Tej Prakash (6) were at home.
