Germany Congratulates India on Successfully Conducting the "World's Largest Democratic Elections"
The German Foreign Office has extended its congratulations to India for successfully conducting the "world's largest democratic elections." In its statement, Germany expressed anticipation of strengthening its cooperation with the new Indian government. In a post on X, the German Foreign Office stated, "Congratulations to the Indian people for successfully concluding the world's largest democratic #elections - we are looking forward to working with India's new government and to taking our cooperation with #India to the next level." India's Lok Sabha elections were held in seven phases from April 19 to June 1. The first six phases took place on April 19, April 26, May 7, May 13, May 20, and May 25.
